BRING IN, LOCK IN

BRING IN, LOCK IN ..!

Time is a misconception. Money is the most devious conception of man. This has been amply illustrated by the demonetization announced on the night of November,8th by the Honourable Prime Minister of India.

Several coffers turned empty overnight, so to speak.

All money hoarded and held in the form of high-denomination notes were turned literally into trash-heaps by order of the Government.

A cabinet decision. In a people’s democracy.

By leader of a party which enjoys more than an absolute majority in the Lok Sabha.

In National interest.

To end terror-financing.

To destroy counterfeit-note racketeering.

To empty the pockets of corrupt politicians, business-folk and others who believed in snatching away the privilege of equal status from the less privileged citizens.

No ordinary citizen was penalized or felt it as an affront to the dignity because the old notes were being exchanged for the newer ones.

Full value was maintained.

In fact, India is the only country in the world where the bearer is promised a full value for the sum printed on it.

Yes. There was a complete stunned silence among ranks of known terrorist-sympathizer outfits, bad-wolf political parties.

A few have begun walking the streets, parading and crying hoarse about the atrocious manner in which they were defanged.

Some are yet to utter a word.

Seasoned ex-leaders in government, now leading the opposition ranks have been seeking the presence of Modi Ji in Parliament when they deliberate on the calamity which has struck all cash-rich political parties, on account of the demonetization.

He did attend : but, goodness gracious, what can he say?

He is the most numbed citizen of the nation-
overwhelmed by the fullest support received from his countrymen cutting across all ranks and strata of society as well as dumbstruck by the desperate, frustrated volatile reaction bordering on the maniacal zone, by the detractors of the nation-building move.

Reason though also is that the move was well-timed but the programming left much to be desired.

As it has been a one-of-a-kind, never-heard-before gigantic step and owing to the high level of utmost secrecy needed to unveil the master-stroke of revitalizing the economy which whilst being on a growth-trajectory was being riddled with adulteration of counterfeit notes, apparently, pumped into the system by the rogue-State of Pakistan through it’s many moles who seem to have penetrated mainstream media onwards down to the corridors of bureaucracy and other sensitive sectors of India’s plural society.

This had to be stopped most urgently.

There have been intermediary-reliefs extended to help alleviate the unavoidable sufferings of the masses. Commendable restraint has been shown by the population of the country in the wake of provocative, inflammatory speeches by the disgruntled elements in society.

However, much requires to be done.

What is that?

First and foremost, appreciation for the wisdom and courage of the Honorable Prime Minister is due.

Next, a gentle reminder to all acclaimed-commentators on the subject that both the ruling party led by Modi Ji and opposition leaders are as much equal citizens, as we, the people of India.

So, end animosity and seek redressal of grievances felt by all these fellow-citizens who are aggrieved by the demonetization-order.

Thirdly, remember that there was a VIDS scheme where a voluntary income-disclosure scheme, with no questions posed was opened up by the Government to mop up untaxed income, a few months earlier.

So, what?

In a bid to assuage the feelings of these remonstrators and check tide of demonstrations chalked out by mischievous-elements out to defame the Government in power as well as to derail the social-fabric of our good nation, it is imperative on Modi Ji to presently exhibit greater wisdom, maturity and foresight in tackling the situation.

Hence and therefore, it is advisable for the Govt. of India to announce a ‘citizens’ relief measure’ whereby anybody and everybody, irrespective of quantum or occupational standing, will be welcome to deposit the old currency-note of Rs.500/- with the Reserve Bank of India and receive a thirty per cent of it’s original value as returned income which would be mentioned in a certificate that fixes the sum for a period of three years.
So, this thirty per cent of returned-income will remain available for the Government to utilize during the three-years duration.

Also, the privilege of the owner of the said certificate of returned income to pledge it will not be affected in the interim period of three-years.

A small punishment of sorts for non-declaration till date will be the lock-in period of three years. But, no questions would be asked by the Government and the sanctity of the sums brought into the official system will be well respected.

No stigma. No witch-hunting or hounding by tax-sleuths. All can be better engaged in more sociably, socially useful, productive activities. For nation-building rather than spreading fear of taxman which further perpetuates tax-evasion.

Of the seventy percent, five to ten percent may be utilized by the Government to fund any Army welfare activities including much discussed OROP-scheme, etc.

In the net result, productive time of the Houses of Parliament would not be further wasted on wild hungama or melodramatic walk-outs & adjournments of Parliament.

Besides, progressive other programs like common civil code, NJAC in an amended form, scrapping of article-370, restoration of abode of Lord Rama at Ayodhya, uniform education syllabus, and the like may be taken up.

All in the best interests of both the Indian nation as well as all others in the globe depending on a virile, stable, happy system in the world’s largest democracy…

( the 1000/- rupee note has been completely buried with effect from yesterday. r.i.p. artificial currency )!

Do bring in. Lock in. Be Indian.

Jai hind!
