So Be It

So Be It!

So, we are all witnessing a transformation of governance style .

No more do we let a rogue State launch batches of terrorists into our territory- we launch a precision strike and as a surgeon, protect the system.

No longer are we going to be plagued by menace of counterfeit currency notes being pumped into a parallel economic system of cash plus Cheque system of transactions in our still largely illiterate, vast society.

The sudden demonetization program has worked wonders with locusts of an open ‘free-for-all’ political system coming out in the open seemingly to voice the agonizing pain and sufferings of the poor and middle classes who have never ever transacted in cash cum cheque mega-transactions, let alone hoarding or stashing away huge cache of unaccounted for currency notes.

So, what next?

Are we going to usher in an uniform civil code in a plural land?

Be assured if this happens, more bigamists from other denominations of society would be affected than the grossly, overt polyandry and religious bigotry displayed by an ubiquitous sect of human race.

Are we going to banish personal taxes and bring in the banking transaction tax?

If this occurs, a sigh of relief would be heaved by all honest citizens used to back-breaking toil, day in and day out..

Cash proved to be the common religion. Now that the clarion call for a cashless society has been sounded, whither castes, religions in this new order of desi society ?

Are we going to remove State control over temples?

If this happens, no more would the majority feel left out and victimized nor discriminated against. Hundis of Hindus offer succour even to State Governments. For instance, the world famous Sri Tirumala Tirupati Venkataramana Temple in Andhra Pradesh has bailed out the Government on several occasions even to pay salaries of the employees of the State! It still remains the only place in the planet where one can go penniless, offer worship free of cost and enjoy best of amenities too..A sight watching physically handicapped pilgrims climbing up the steps of the seven hills abode in good faith and strengthened by the experience ..

Churches in India have enjoyed unbridled liberties and advantages of vast tracts of estates being gifted to them by the Britishers when they departed from this magnificent colony in 1947! Added to this seven decades of free inflows of missionary funds to spread Christianity. Sadly though, umpteen denominations have sprung up in the Christian religion thereby dividing those whom others assume to be one undivided western race.

Mohammedans are a divided lot. United only by name of prophet. Sunnis and Wahabis receive generous funding from oil rich Arabs. Rigid to core, though not treated as equals in Middle East Arabian countries, these desi Muslims are a most presumptuous lot who feel converting other fellow humans is the ultimate purpose of their faith.

Never compromising, these citizens even fail to salute the national flag or sing our national anthem. Shias, who visit Dargahs of so called Sufis,do merge into the national stream as do the Bohras & all 69 other sects of Islam.

Jains, Buddhists, Sikhs are not alien to Hindu way of life, as peace loving, socially interdependent citizenry. Parsis are a fast dwindling community.

Several other tribal groupings live ranging from the Himalayas where for example, in Himachal Pradesh (as in parts of Kerala till few decades), it is still customary for a woman to have two husbands, to the Andamans where multiple dialects dot the land.

Thus, linked to minority bracketing of citizens is the now primordial caste based reservation system in vogue. Where, literally even a candidate who scores zero marks at a competitive or departmental examination is chosen to be a doctor, lawyer or an engineer.

Not to speak of bunch of politicians that cry hoarse of belonging to a once deprived section of society and have been seated in high offices of profit, power and pelf- only perpetuating hatred, dud like and hegemony rather than helping to cleanse the wholly changed world of tech-savvy youngsters knitted together by social media, call Centre culture and habits inculcated commonly as GenZ…

So, what next ?

Arrest scamsters? Abolish rationing which is a World War Two inheritance from selfish, wicked, evil colonizers leading to continued black marketing, hoarding, adulteration ? Disable freebies enjoyed by MPs?

Freeze the assets of all ministers-present and past for they have all taken a solemn vow to serve the nation under constitution and thus ensure justice- social, economic, political?

Half-baked policies and poorly implemented programs would only sound death-knell for the great ideas of reforming a long suffering billion-plays strong nation.

Arrest anarchy. Spread joy, confidence, hope among citizens and institutions of the country.

A nation is a myth. And yet, no myth at all…

In God we trust. Not in Demi Gods or demons of democracy..

So be it!
