Myth of Myth

Myth of Myth

I am a myth. Unlike the father of the nation. Nay, a Nation with laws not uniformly applicable to all its citizens isn’t a myth either.

Ancient texts, truisms and cultural happenings have been so conveniently clubbed and dubbed as being mythology. Or,as is presumed by the disbelievers of pre-Christ era fictitious narratives.

But then all those magnificent structures standing tall and bright having stood the test of vagaries of Nature,Time as well as Carbon -14 dating techniques(such as the Thanjavur temple, Madurai temple, Tirumala Tirupati temples, Srisailam Temple, all Shaktipeetha temples, all Jyotirlinga temples and a million others including the Thousand pillared Rameswaram and Warangal Eswara temples) are the real answers to such innocuous theories of yesteryear historians and controllers of the contemporary world.

These are staring back at those who ridicule Sanatana Dharma and the age of Bharateeya Civilization.

Likewise, I do not exist. I am a law-abiding, peace-loving citizen who embraces all things endowed by Nature – be it all varieties of flora, fauna, hills, ocean or the twinkling stars above the skyscrapers. I pay my taxes and I cast my vote. I shun the idiot-box and all the idiosyncratic real-life shows of society. I labour hard as a modern day coolie, I sweat, perspire and I return home to share a roti or two with my pet dogs and stray cats that befriend me from time to time, perhaps knowing fully well that even cows and pigs are akin to ducks and hens for quite a sizeable section of mankind. I read all the small print to be sure that I do not violate the law or breach any provision laid down by lowly clerks enjoying the pleasure of being a delegated authority of the mighty Sovereign State.

I am dubbed as a common man. I am a myth.

Equality before law and equality of laws is the signature tune of the Constitution of India. I say it’s the only sacred book in this plural land of multi-lateral democracy not merely because elected leaders swear by it but also since it is revered by the Judiciary which has been presiding bravely over a fallen criminal justice system and an imbalanced civil society.

The monsters are stalking our minds set on churning out artificial intelligence over native wisdom and knowledge of spirituality over machine learning.

I am a myth. So are you all.

Who? We, the People.

No?

Myth is real but mythology is unreal?

So, they say.
