Story behind Dharna by AAP Government in Delhi

Evening before, Somnath Bharti & Rakhi Bidhlan started confrontation with police, 4-5 persons from two political parties met at a unknown place & discussed the following:-
- Binny’s impending retaliation.
- Administrative & legal difficulty in carrying out promise to bring LokPal Bill by 25th January & other 18 points.
- Intelligence report that AAP government was loosing ground very fast in Delhi because Delhi people are getting restlessness over (a) Topiwal’s high-handiness in the streets & government offices (b) The manner in which AAP government has provided relief in power & water issues which were actually gimmicks only but not real relief. (c) BJP‘s new strategy to counter AAP influence in Metros & other big cities.
What transpired or conspired in the meeting is not known except that the group decided to make “Emergency action plan” to revive falling AAP’s TRP while the other group assured its full support even if most drastic action is taken, if necessary.
The very next day followed by this meeting Ms. Rakhi Bidhlan, now known as Rakhi Birla, Cabinet Minister of Women & Child, Social Welfare and Languages, charged that local Delhi Police SHO for shielding the in-laws who had burnt a married woman Neha Yadav. The case is related to Sagarpur Police Station.
When Rakhi Birla was accusing & sitting at Dharna in front of the house, her colleague Law-Minister, S/Shri Somnath Bharti, who indulged himself in unlawful act by naming the Danish rape survivor (refer his press release), was making plan to raid South Delhi’s Khirki Extension to expose & catch so-called sex & drug offenders who happen to be Nigerians & Ugandans.
As expected, in both cases, The Ministers of AAP government were defied by the local police in acting their toed line. It was enough to create scene by Hungama expert party.
Rest is history. You know what is happening there. Tiranga Sena (@Tiranga_Sena), who is a top political science expert, pointed out that this AAP agitation will help them to gain more popularity. That means, the well-meaning public who voted for AAP for good governance is being taken for ride so that TRP is raised to make political gain during coming Lok Sabha election at the cost of Delhi voters. And also this drama is being played so Modi’s fast march towards Delhi can be stopped by cutting BJP votes in Metros & big cities at least. Congress knows well that even if 25-30 seats could be snatched from jaws of BJP that may make difference and it can help them to come back in power from behind the curtain as they did in Delhi. That will also help them to shield their corrupt leaders like the way they saved them in Delhi by supporting AAP.
The Delhi voters, who was looking for a new kind of governance voted for AAP by denying BJP to make government, never expected this new form of protest politics. Everyone wants their /Prime Minister/Chief Minister to work – craft policy, institute reforms, allocate resources – not stage fasts or sit-ins. Voters vote in their leaders to exercise their duly elected power, not sloganeering on the streets like some powerless outsider. To do so is disingenuous and irresponsible. Governing by dharna is risky strategy, at best, but it is downright foolish when the “principle” involved is the fate of four policemen — whose primary crime was to resist an out-of-control Law Minister. Not one of Delhi’s many problems will be resolved by winning this battle. Only the blindest among AAP supporters will view the current face-off with the Union government as anything other than what it is: self-indulgent egotism of the pettiest kind.
The prime question is, “should India believe in such a party which believes in Dharna & strikes, should Indian follow a party which is full of Mani Shanker Aiyars who are expert in foul language & don’t know ABC of governance and also don’t believe in real governance?” Those who appeal to give more time to this AAP party should have re-look in their statements.

Well written & thought provoking. This agitation may have been designed to gain popularity with an eye on forthcoming LS elections, but, if we go by the reports emanating from AAP’s potentially big “Hunting grounds” like Bangluru, AAP volunteers (engaged in membership drive) are now being chased away.So, how much will AAP gain from this agitation is any body’s guess. But, more importantly, what this agitation has revealed is the uglier side of AAP. And, that is, its impatience with democratic processes.Behind their impatience lurks AAP’s Naxal tendencies. I am reminded of the 1970 Tapan Sinha directed movie Sagina Mahto in which innocent people are entrapped in the Naxal movement & “Accused” given instant justice. Arn’t what AAP leaders doing something similar?
Let us wait & watch
#AAP cannot gain with this kind of a nautanki. Delhi is a capital and putting security at risk. This is not the way to function. This guy is turning insane as the days are progressing by. Instead if running a effective govt. #Ferziwal is increasingly showing his Ferzigiri. I personally think this #AAPDrama good for BJP. Good post but I disagree with the analysis of @Tiranga_Sena. People are not blind to believe #AAP story so convincingly.

AAP Dhrna was most unfortunate.The FRANKENSTEIN MONSTER Kejriwal created by Congress will suffer in the long run.Kejriwal has only shown that governance is not his cup of tea.
Secondly,Modi who knows governance cannot be stopped by these activists.Election Tracker by CNN- IBN shows Modi is uprising is found everywhere.
