35 years gone waste

It is not my biography. It is a story of the pain & anguish my generation faced as last 35 years gone waste.

images (1)I was born on 7th October, 1982. My elder brother & sister were born in 1976 & 1979 respectively. Like all other, we, all brother & sister including cousins, spent out childhood in play & had our dreams about golden future when we turned young. I studied B.Com then Animation and in the last MBA. Likewise my brother & sister too completed their studies. Till we were studying, we were dreaming a good future as my father generation was having. But once we put our first step in the practical world, we found our dreams were just pipe dreams. There was no job, no opportunity to the person who does not know someone powerful & don’t want to be part of the crooks ruling India. We use to discuss our endeavor in finding jobs with our parents on dining table. Listening us, in failing to get any suitable job, my father use to encourage us with gloomy face. My sister attained marriageable age. One day my father declared that he was looking a boy in foreign for my sister. Knowing that he did not have means to afford such marriage, we questioned his wisdom in doing so. His words still echos in my ears, “India has no hope for its children. This beautiful land has been “captured” by the plunderer, scamsters, power and money hungry people. Our corrupt government’s character is being imitated by the people who are near to the power centre. No honest people can fulfill his dreams here anymore. I have no means to send you both brothers outside of India but I can marry my daughter in the land of hope so that at least one branch of my family is safe.” Eventually he managed to marry her in Canada where she lives happily now.

Here we both brothers struggled, struggled to get suitable jobs. My father was right. At last, I got a job as “Expert Animator” in Nehru Place at less than a peon’s salary. I worked there for one & half month & was terminated on the pretext that there is no more work in the firm. No problem. But they did not paid even a cent for the work I performed there. Later I learned that it was their modus operandi to recruit fresher, take work & kick out without pay. I decided to sue them. My advocate, a very close friend of my father, advised me against it as the owner of the firm was very close to Delhi throne. Same thing happened when I got a job in a Mumbai firm who use to make animated movies for top Bollywood movie producers. They advised me to get a higher training in animation from their own training centre. For this, I again shelled out 50000 putting burden on my father. I worked there for another 4 months. But same story again. No pay for 4 months because I was only a fresher. Was it not a scam in the name of training? Like that I worked at many firms off course without pay in the name of being fresher. I was not able to sue them because they all were someone powerful & rich, got rich in the way of crooks.

I returned to Delhi after a year or so, broken, disheveled, as burden to my family. In the meantime, my elder brother was trying to establish business. I decided to join him. Soon we discovered that this field is meant for crooks & crooks only. Everyday, my brother would returned tired & broken as his money was being blocked by the multinational firm, for which he was working, on the pretext of something as silly as spelling mistakes in the bills or proper margins not left on right/left side of the bill. Soon he found out the Engineers in that firm want underhand dealing. It was too much. We heard government officials/officers demanding bribe. We knew the mechanism to encounter such government officer’s right-handedness. But what to do with private multinational firm’s employees? We decided to approach their local CEO. Listening our resolution to approach CEO, my father smiled & said that now we would get the real taste of the world. The CEO listened us patiently and assured us to take suitable action soon. We both brothers were over joyed, went over board. My brother took beer & I served myself some orange juice.

One the third day, we got a notice from the Multinational firm stating that over claim for 23 lakhs was untenable because our work was substandard. Funny part of the story is, my brother was awarded best vender by the same CEO a month back. We met that CEO again. He misbehaved with us leveling us as crooks as our work was very bad. When we showed the certificate the he gave us for “being best vender” he suggested to take it in our ass. Had brother paid 30% commission as demanded, he would got more work & his money. It is not question of money alone, it is question of lost future & will to work honestly.

This is not only my story. But it is story of the my generation which is about 30 to 35 years old, it is story of the generation which was born after of around 1980. 35 years of misrule has destroyed a whole new generation & their future. Why their future only, this misrule has destroyed India’s future. Different governments, who ruled after 1980, were just scammer’s government. These governments could not provide stability, reliability to the nation. Throughout the India, immoral forces became the law. It seemed that the very principle of democracy had been shrouded in a tent-cloth. Society sighed out its breath in despair. Since ages, there was no hope and youth had been taught iconoclasm. After all, 35 years of misrule can destroy up any nation. A whole new generation passed its youth under this 35 years misrule. India was down to its knee while the selfish leadership was busy in providing comforts to their family & friends. All the governments during this period were either busy in nepotism or busy in plundering the nation or in both. Their good work was aimed at either to make money or to consolidate their power. They had no road map and no vision. Their leadership was busy in haircut while their goons were raping the nation.

Can anyone tell us who stole our dreams and who is responsible for our broken & bleak future and how we are supposed to provide parental care to next gen?
In this back drop, election 2014 was fought. Those are wrong who say the BJP won because of their organizational skill or due to better management or due to scams of previous government. BJP never won this election, Modi has won the election. Our generation has backed and believed Modi ji & his vision. We made sure that the previous misrule is buried in deep sea.

Our generation is destroyed. But by giving mandate to Modi ji, we, the destroyed generation, made it sure that our next generation does face the same the conditions we lived in, at least we hope so.

Now it is upto Modi ji to provide a scam free, crook free and visionary governance. We don’t mind his jugglery with words, we don’t mind his other antics too. We know that he has a tough task ahead. We know that he has to walk alone among snakes around him. But Modi ji has a promise to fulfill, a promise he made to our generation.

We want to tell him with all due respect that “Sir you are under surveillance. Either perform or perish. If you too betray us, like previous governments, there will be bloody revolution, the only way left”
