War of Truth

War of Truth

By- Pamarty Venkataramana

In a world ridden with strife, technology has played havoc. The not so social media applications and gadgetry which help spread viruses of disinformation and sycophancy are lending muscle by the bytes and the rapid speeds, further depressing a decadent society.
Mental health has gone for a toss. Political corruption is directly proportional to the malaise of political correctness rampant across self-styled democratic governments of today’s world. Extreme wealth of rulers who admittedly had poor or poorest origins by birth are as pock marks on face of a virile economy.
Is an annual budgetary exercise a true and fair presentation of the social structure and moral fibre of its nationals? Where is the happiness quotient? Per capita income and gross domestic products are aberrations on the chart of statistical claims.
Only a country which caters to its inhabitants on an equal footing and does not dress up a budget as the political outfits do their manifesto before a festival of general elections can lay claim to be a true democracy. Or else, it is nothing but hogwash. War of truth is waged every which day by the peasant who toils hard;by the salaried employee who labours daily; by the honest self-employed professional who goes to bed hungry but fights hard to uphold personal values and by the unknown soldiers of peace who receive no rations or salary from the government bodies. Added to this class of souls are the ones who are entitled to subsidies and freebies announced by popular establishments but ghost-beneficiaries garner the benefits. Tax- sops are lollipops just as dearness allowance announcements are to government servants every which election-eve.
So, who is the satyawadi? The ones who pretend ? Those who assault freedom of law? Or,the hapless innocent, honest or naive ones slaughtered as lambs at the altar of money-power and goondaism?
Unless such vital issues are addressed, the acts of mass adulation of those that have renegaded upon the sacred oath of office administered to them at time of swearing-into high office are but preposterously imposter-like.
No two words about that.
The path to truth is a very long and must arduous one. But, with good faith in the grace of Almighty, the pilgrim can progress towards victory post. Better late than never! There is travesty of justice taking place every which day in the public work stations where we have able ones manning but to whose bidding are these denizens working ? All edicts of Constitution go for a toss. There is a general sense of frustration as goals of justice- be it social, economic or political remain unfulfilled.
Those who turn a Nelson’s eye to the war of truth are but moles of falsehood masquerading as nationalists.
So be it ?
No.
India must arise above such partisanship, political correctness and even a cobbler stitching leather hide into shoes, if jettisoned to wear a crown of golden flowers ought to remain humble and not seek to pull the wool over the eyes of all-believing, little-knowing masses.
Satyameva Jayate { truth alone shall triumph} must not remain a slogan but become the Charkha or wheel of progress where societal mores be reset and Rama Rajya be re-established.
As Satyuga dawns, may these demons of a pseudo-democracy fade away into the hollow pits and dungeons from where they all have surfaced in the first place!
Jai Hind!
